The Oaks Manuscript
These works explore the remaining woodlands of the Golan Heights, where oak trees reveal a hidden trace left by human presence on the land. The trees grew upon the Raba'i—old stone field boundaries that once divided agricultural plots and retained moisture in the soil, creating favorable conditions for the trees to take root and endure over time.
As the fields gradually disappeared, the trees remained, their natural distribution outlining the geometric boundaries of the former farms. In this way, the trees have become a living manuscript of the landscape's memory. 2026
